Hello! For those of you who don't know me- I'm Amy Vogt, I'm 20 yrs old, and I live in the beautiful state of Colorado! Living here is always exciting- especially the weather. In two minutes it can change from bright and sunny to a torrential downpour of rain. The climate changes make me smile and laugh sometimes at how ridiculously fast it happens. It also reminds me of who is in control of this world and His love for us. I'm SOO excited that He has called me down to Nicaragua this fall! I have been to Nicaragua before for a little over a week. It's an amazing place, even with the intense humidity! The people were amazing and the church was so on fire for Christ! I'm very excited to be going back down!! I haven't had to live with humidity since I lived in Niceville, FL (yes it really is a place) and even that is exciting because I know it will simply make the trip that much more interesting :-)
Since January I have been simply working. I felt the call to not go to school in the spring semester. Instead I have been working at a chocolate store, hanging out with my amazing friends, and trying to hear where God is calling me. I love animals and I have a daschund which all my family and friends like to point out how pitiful she is. That would be because our other dog is an 80 lb lab. I'm very blessed with a great family- parents who support me, an older brother who's married, an older sister, and then my little sister who happens to be 12 yrs younger than me. Oh and she looks just like me. I LOVE Starbucks! (I don't know if I should be proud of that or not since it regularly takes alot of my money) I love to read Ted Dekker novels! His trilogy Black, Red, and White are amazing! I strongly suggest them. I am a huge fan of gelato as opposed to icecream- just tastes better :-) I grew up watching old movies and musicals and still love them to this day!
Well I think that's enough for now. I'm so excited for this trip and how it is going to change my life!!
